It’s been a really cold winter. We’ve burned a lot of wood. Part of that is that we’ve had Jacob in the apartment, but part of it has been the extreme cold. Beyond burning wood we also pop outside before we go anywhere to get the car warmed up. It has been revealed to us that Abby and I are on either side of the extremes on our perspective on warming the car, or at least, keeping it warm.

I am on the belief that a car is a tiny space and opening the doors releases a huge percentage of their heat, and thus, should be minimized.

Abby likewise believes that care are tiny spaces…but to her mind that means they heat up super fast and you can just run around willy nilly because it’ll be back to normal in just a second.

That perspective begs the question of why we bother to pre-heat the car in the first place…

In any case it was a disagreement that we had in a way that was not rude. I criticized her and it diid not create an argument. Not that it usually does, I just am proud of the state of our relationship. And this while running late and a little sick.
