I’ve been trying to spend less money lately, been making a game of it. I’ve got plenty of wood here, cherry I bought from an old-timer in East Montpelier, and I’ve got the brains to use it too, I think.

Since I’ve made up my mind to stay some place the little improvements and makings’ve grown like rust,
or verdigris,
that’s a nicer word.

I made a post about some shelves I made, and this blasted web builder deleted it for some reason. But I did build them.
I’ll be damned before I learn to code and therefore avoid the trials and tribulations of stupid web builders.

And I think there’re a fair number more trials and tribulations to coding than just shoddy web builders.

What’s a single blog post measured up against the monolith of writing for machines?

I don’t even like machines.

And you shouldn’t either

With all the time I save not learning to code I build shelves and pot hangers and violin hangers. Mostly things to screw into the wall and hang things off of, I’m realizing. But I’d like to build places to sit or places to keep the rain off of you. I’ve got a 3D model or two cooking, but I’m in no hurry,
it’s a kind thing, not being in a hurry.

Those shelves started as 3D models, but ended up quite different in the end. The violin hanger wasn’t a 3D model for even a second in its life, just a bit of maple what fell onto the chicken fence. I know that I don’t want machine language to hold my hand for any part of making things from nothing into somethings, but I’m not sure I feel the same way about 3D modelling, it’s helpful enough, and I already know how to do it.

I’m certainly not going to unlearn it
bozo.
