Loading Firewood
![]()
I have a fairly sophisticated firewood setup at my house. Outside I have the shed I built which houses two years worth, one on the left, one on the right. From there I load about a fortnight’s worth into my garage, from there about a day, or a day and a half’s worth into my living room. Somehow it almost always works out that the wood has got to be reloaded, on the 1.5 day section, either in the morning or in the evening.
Now, loading firewood is not something I like to do right before bed, and that’s usually when it occures to me. I’ll have loaded up the stove for the night and I’ll realize, well, this ain’t enough for Abby in the morning, she’s the one who generally starts the fire while I get Robinia changed.
Anyways, knowing that it’s a thing that’s nicer for Abby in the morning makes me a bit happier to do it in the evening. I’ll do it after this post is done.
