Online sucks touch grass destroy corporations.

I’m not comfortable with how much I use computers. I’m not sure any of us should be comfortable with how much we use computers. I drank my coffee in the field by my house this morning, and I walked for the better part of an hour through the forest and to the spring that rises through the clay just past my property line. Past that, the other nine or so hours between waking and writing this were spent at my desk with two monitors.

An old professor of mine had us do an exercise:

close your eyes and remember a meaningful online experience you’ve had.

It could be a great story you read,
a scare you had,
a game you loved,
a romance...

Remember and indulge that memory for a long moment.

Now, try to think about where your body was while you were having that experience.

Do you have any earthly memory of your body during that moment? Your position or place or comfort?

It’s possible that that’s fine, that we don’t need memory of our body to have a complete sense of self and of history, but I doubt it.

Bozo.
