Who is this beautiful child?
With her first summer behind us, it really felt like Fall on our morning walk today. We spent a lot of time bathed in the orange glow of our woodstove last winter, and I expect this winter to be much the same, except we’ll be dancing around and playing like maniacs together instead of just being sleepy. Though I’m sure there will be plenty of time to get sleepy, too.
It’s her first birthday tomorrow and I think it’ll be the biggest party we’ve ever had. Most of the usual suspects from her baby shower will be in attendance, plus many of the new friends we’ve made since she was born. All to celebrate Roby, it feels very right.
I haven’t written the letter I plan to, I’ve been a bit busy, but I will, and I hope she’ll think it’s good in twenty years.
