Last year in a post around now I said I wanted to write more fiction. I have not done that. I like to think that this year will be different, I hope it will be. 

Would you look at that tree in the background of the photo? Wow, what a dismal looking thing. It’s doing a lot better now, it’s in a sunnier spot. 

Maybe my writing will be like that tree, though I can’t say my context has changed much since than. If anything I have far less time to devote to the craft. But last year I just described a desire, this year it’s an honest to goodness resolution, that’s got to count for something, right? 

I guess we’ll see in 2025.
