Usually when it’s me and Robinia home for the day, she’ll nap on our morning walk, then she’ll nap right as mom gets home, usually in the carrier. Today she didn’t nap on our walk, and she didn’t nap when we got home, because it was too beautiful and she wanted to play outside with no shirt under her overalls.

Now she’s napping on me in bed, she fell asleep that way. She asked for milk once, but having none, we just sorta lazed about the bed for a while until she plopped her head on my chest and fell asleep. I decided she would be too cold without a shirt so I woke her up to put one on, then she fell right back asleep.

I wrote half of this before I tried getting her to sleep on her own, and she did fine, so now I’m writing beside her, maybe I should go do something productive that isn’t writing about how much I adore this girl. The real trick is that I can type with one hand while with the other I rub her back.
