Better Mood

I’m in a better mood now than I was yesterday.
Sometimes it just happens, less and less these days, but still. I was not happy with how an evening project came out: a chicken brooder using only scraps. I ended up going to the hardware store for some 2x4s and hinges. I still used scrap plywood, but the 2x4s were paid for with money. I had buying new materials. I’ve already got so much layign around. I’ll be picking up a load of new materials when I get back from my painting class. I have to build a tent platform for Jamie, and I have to make the fence around the garden look good. And I’d like to build a proper rack for my cherry and the rest of my lumber. That’ll be a big project for the summer, extending the roof of my barn.

Ultimately I’d like to paint my house, too. But I’m not sure how realistic that will be. Painting my house seems like a nice thing to do. There’s not a massive amount of skill to it, just a lot of careful work. It’s the sort of thing you can really tuck into without a ton of planning. You don’t need to 3d model the house, you just need to touch every part of it mutlitple times.

I hope I get to it.
