Support & co.
It felt like a party today, while we mudded and moved fridges. My dad sanded for more time than anyone ever should, Will came by and taught me how to mud, Russ finished the stairs and did plumbing, Abby figured out a GFCI and helped her dad after picking up a fridge, Sarah cleaned out the fridges and swapped em, Jamie made sure I didn’t die while I used a chainsaw and took care of Roby, Pat brought doughnuts, Laura brought chips and they were both happy to be here.
I don’t like drywalling, but I still managed a moment while beneath the stairs to be thankful. I was putting up mud with my own two hands, I was doing it in a room with my Father who’s alive and well enough to be doing the work with me. Work we were doing on a house I own, in a place I love, full of people I adore so that I can more fully support my healthy, smiling daughter named after someone else I love.
It made the drywalling easier.
