Chicken Tractors
I made this chicken tractor last summer. It was too heavy. It was so heavy that it didn’t work. We used it as a chicken shelter, but it didn’t move, which is the whole point of the thing.
This year Abby made a chicken tractor, it’s a lot lighter, light enough to actually function. I gave her no instructions, and I did naysay a bit about about strength and rigidity, but it was unfounded.
I don’t have a picture of hers, it’s uglier, which she would agree. But that’s probably not right, mine has got to be uglier because it functions so poorly. With chicken tractors and other tools beauty is a function of functionality.
We’re going to migrate the meat birds around the yard this year, and maybe our lawn will be greener next summer.
