But spend it I must, before it begins to snow. That wood shouldn’t have wet resting on it for another winter, it’s too valuable both as a material, and as my chief hobby, for that. That wood was an investment in my future in a lot of ways; the future of this house, the future of my skills, the futuure of roby’s bedroom, and a whole lot else besides.
So far an acceptable amount has gone to rot. By my estimation it’s nothing that wouldn’t have ultimately gone bad even under as good conditions as I could manage, some of those boards just had punk to them, they were destined to the fire, and had been for a good long while.
