Swimmer

I didn’t go swimming all that much this summer, not as much as I’d hoped or planned. But I don’t think I ever have gone swimming as much as I’d like. A few days in a pool in Hudson made quite a difference in my numbers, but still, just a blip, really.
This picture of Roby in the water with Abby’s a treasure of it, though.

She enjoyed the water there, and the pond by Aunt Jill’s place, and the river near the school and the pool in Hudson. Roby enjoyed them all, and really kicked around and dunked a few times, too.
Next summer perhaps. Next summer Roby’ll need more to do than just watch me and mom work, though next summer she might be able to put up with wearing hearing protection a bit more. That’ll help with making the work watching nicer. This winter I’d like to get the better part of our basement done, and the pantry, then in the spring I can do the mudroom. I’d like it if Roby could hand me the screws and keep track of my bits and bobs. We could go swimming after to get the dust off.
