The internet connection at my house is still too bad for me to see any of the images I’ve already uploaded, let alone upload new ones. 90% of them are greyed out, so I’ll just choose the first picture or two I find of Abby. That oughta do.
It’s not so bad not having internet. Abby and I went to Walmart today to buy a load of DVDs. I guess they’ve started making them big enough to fit a few films. We found a disk with The Shawshank Redemption & The Green Mile on it, then a triple feature with Sicario, Wind River, and Hell or High Water, apparently they’re all by the same writer.
I was in a bad mood after a dangerous drive transporting loads of wet hemlock 30 miles down winding roads, so we went to get some junk food and movies.
I believe you’ve reached a special part of your relationship when doing something kind of horrible and mundane is such a pleasure. The horrible bit comes first. Early on you can enjoy mutual bonding through discomfort or disgust, but it’s only later that you can love doing something awful in a really boring way, like going to Walmart.
I was actually excited to go to Walmart because Abby would be there.
I saw a beautiful quote today and I carried it in my head with me:
