The wood shed is finally done. Buttoned up, dialed, stacked, delivered. It took some time, but the diagonal braces went up this afternoon and the whole thing’s looking pretty rock solid.
I only got to it after a sleepy morning of waffles eaten with a distracted friend. Despite that slow start I got loads done, and so did Abby.
It’s important to remember days like today because too often I’ll see a sleepy morning or a lazy half-day and decide the whole days kaput, a loss. I’ll decide that I shouldn’t even make the attempt, just oughta stay inside and get soft work done: shit on the computer.
Because I didn’t fall for that trap, I finished the bracing and moved about a ton of scrap wood out from clogging the barn. We’ve got two covered parking spots now when before we had none. I’ll be thanking the me of today come snow.
