Caride

“Stacking your life” is something Abby talks about with some frequency. Building exercise in to your daily life by working around the house, bringing friends to do errands so it’s social time, too. That kind of thing. I was meant to go get wood from a friend of a friend, and I was planning on doing it with a friend (my friend). Those plans changed and it was looking like we’d have to drive seperate so I could help him load, then Abby could help him unload. He wasn’t really interested in that. If he was going to drive a few hours on account of a favor, he’d get a (captive) conversation out of it. I respect that, it’s stacking his life.

We changed our plans and delayed a bit so that we could drive together and we talked the whole time. The conversation was good, I have a pretty high tolerance for conversations of all kinds, especially during car rides. So it goes. It was not so bad.

Conversations have a way of endearing you to people. That’s a good thing. In the midst of something of a drama, it’s, if not a bad thing, a complicated thing. At least when you’re trying to be Switzerland about the whole thing.
