Family

I wrote a blog post when Roby was born, but not when Abby and I finally got married. I think that has more to do with being a bit more out of the groove now, than I was then, but really, the wedding and the party afterwards was quite exhausting. Roby went to sleep at 6:30 and woke up at 7:00 the next day. We weren’t sure what to do, we thought of waking her, but then figured we were too tired to give it much thought, better to lay it play out.

It ended up working out. We all slept well, I think. It’s hard to sleep well when you drink, even if you’re unconscious. Not that we drank all that much, we did make up for it with a bunch of cake and sweet food. It was delicious and delightful and right for the celebration at hand.

Sometimes we all must make sacrifices.

There were no sacrifices to it, really. Though my stomach did not thank me, and is still in recovery. My heart thanked me though, and my family and Abby, and that’s a good thing. Life won’t be back to normal until September, we’ve too much going on, too many parties and too much time with family.

It’s a good kind of abnormal, but abnormal nontheless. I think I’ll miss the abnormality by the time the party’s over.

Yours &c.          Bozo
