Roby’s World

Roby gets to come to our wedding,
really, we get to have Roby at our wedding.
I didn’t get to go to my parents wedding, they didn’t get to go to theirs. That makes sense, and for a few reasons I’d’ve like to have been married before Roby was born, but we weren’t, so I’m making the most of it.
It might be a nice thing really, for parents to renew their vows or have a little party about their relationship for their kids to see, I think that’d be good for them to witness, so long as it was earnest and built on love.
Roby’s young enough that she won’t have much of a conscious memory of the wedding or the party after it I don’t think, so my need for that renewal is as present as the hypothetical parent. I can’t imagine we’ll be in a position to throw another big party in the next few years, but that’s fine, we’ll have to wait for Roby’s brothers and sisters to show up.
