Something Else

We’re on what feels like a shoulder season. High summer is not a shoulder season of course, but where we’re at in it, it feels like one. We’ve got the wedding coming up, some vacations, we’ve got to paint the house and I’ve got to finish the lumber shed. There is loads and loads to do and it’s all slowly happening, but a lot of it is happening...later on, in the next part of the summer.
After the wedding.
After the wedding is not long from now, really. A few weeks and we’ll be there, and then shortly after that, after that. We’ll be married, then, and that’ll be good. After the wedding we’ll have a few days away from home and that’ll mean we’ll have no access to the projects and the gardens and the plumbing and all of it , just books.
I should get a new one, something thick and old.
Like the Three Muskateers, or maybe something by David Foster Wallace. Or maybe I’ll draw.

Yours &c.          Bozo
