What Kind of Insane?
I added some mechanized legs to my desk today, and that meant removing the undercarriage I had painstakingly made for it last year. It was a bit painful to undo all of that work, but it’s fairly slick to be able to stand or sit, or stand, or sit at my leisure.
My desk is important to me, it’s where I write this blog, spend the better part of my work day, and relax doing whatever else it is I do on the computer. So the idea of leaving it a construction zone for the evening didn’t feel quite right.
I’m not certain wether my monomaniacal drive to finish a project despite exhaustion or inconvenience is a good thing or a bad thing. It doesn’t happen frequently enough to really disrupt my life, and in the end I get something cool out of it, so maybe it’s fine.
I just wish I could choose when to turn it on or off.
